Pictured below, are our original, scrappy room plans for our new office/video/podcast studio space here in Suffolk (which we haven’t strayed too far away from). You can see from the plan, a real focus we put on trying to reduce any acoustic overspill, utilising every inch of floor space so that the room didn’t feel cramped.
We believe it is possible to capture high quality video content with professional sound in a small space with the right measures taken. With this plan, we are able to capture and change between three completely different looking scenes in a room that is no more than 17.5 metres squared without difficulty. Sound is often overlooked when it comes to video recording so we took extra measures to ensure that we can record warm voices without echo.
Finally, my favourite part of this space is that it is ideally located on an Ex-US Airforce base next to the infamous Rendlesham forest where wildlife is booming. Watch out for the herds of deer, rabbits, birds of prey or even an alien landing.
